Amazon is to create 5,000 full-time jobs across its UK operation this year, bringing its total in the country to more than 24,000. According to a report by the BBC, the online retail giant is looking for employees to man three new warehouses, as well as software developers and staff for its head office in London and customer service centre in Edinburgh. The new fulfilment centres will open in Tilbury, Doncaster and Daventry and will help accommodate the “particularly rapid” growth in third-party sellers on the website.
