One of the more fun fights to watch in the air cargo industry has been between IATA and Indian forwarders. Following the energetic display of words between the two at Air Cargo India, comes news via Flying Typers that the row has re-ignited.

Following a pilot project to introduce billing and settlements system CASS, Emirates and Cathay Pacific sent out a note saying they would be migrating to it. This has resulted in the ACAAI (Air Cargo Agents Association of India) going to India’s Competition Commission. It had withdrawn its previous submission, but smaller forwarders, fearful of losing their fixed commissions, are fighting the introduction of CASS.
