Ships at Brazil’s port of Santos are likely to face delays after up to a dozen containers filled with chemicals caught fire yesterday. Ships are no longer able to dock at Santos Brasil, next to the affected Localfrio container terminal, on the eastern side of the port, because of potentially hazardous smoke. Flames erupted after the chemicals mixed with rain. The terminal has been evacuated and more than 60 people taken to hospital with breathing difficulties.
