Cargo handling firm Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has appointed David Clark as its global head of safety and security ending Mr Clark’s 17-year career with British Airways (BA).
Mr Clark will take up his post on 27 February and, based in Paris, will report to chief executive Craig Smyth.
After joining the UK flag-carrier in 1999, Mr Clark held a variety of senior management roles. Most recently he ran BA’s global ground operations safety, quality and training programme.
Mr Smyth said the appointment brought not only a deep understanding of aviation safety and security risk and regulatory frameworks, but also a perspective from a major international airline and WFS customer.
Mr Clark said that he was looking forward to joining the team and making “WFS best in class in this industry”.
