JF Hillebrand Group, the drinks logistics specialist, has reorganised its European operations and appointed David Mawer to lead the region.
The forwarder has regrouped its organisational areas, so that the UK, Ireland and Benelux (previously headed by Mr Mawer) and Germany and Central Europe become one area: the UK, west and central Europe. The region also now includes Austria, Poland and Bulgaria.
Mr Mawer has been with the group for nearly 20 years and started in the drinks industry in 1978 with a wine merchant. He moved to Ferry Freighting Group after working for a wine importer and became JF Hillebrand’s UK commercial director when the companies merged in 1997.
“David’s strong drive for results and his hands-on and customer-focused approach will bring a new level of dynamism to these European markets,” said Christophe Bernard, CEO of JF Hillebrand Group.
