So it’s goodbye to Tony Tyler, hello to Alexandre de Juniac, as he takes on IATA’s top spot. Less of an airline guy than Mr Tyler, with just five years at Air France-KLM, Mr de Juniac has worked at French aerospace companies and in government.  It should be interesting to see what these experiences bring to IATA, often criticised for overblown levels of bureaucracy. Mr Tyler, who apparently had a “relaxed” work ethic, did more to promote cargo than previous DGs, and we hope to see Mr Juniac continue to do so.
