We suggested there might be mounting problems at the world’s largest logistics firm, and the freight division saw quarterly profits decline a whopping 65% year-on-year as the ongoing restructuring of its freight forwarding division hit snags. Much will now depend on the division’s new management, which is headed by DHL veteran Renato Chiavi on an interim basis who is undertaking a review of the restructuring programme.
