Mr Clark notes that 2017 could be even worse for the carrier, which has started to stumble, than last year. And it’s a likelihood accentuated by the political climate. “It is true that we are a product of the multilateralism, the liberalisation of trade,” he says. But the incoming Trump presidency, which is expected to be protectionist, could certainly hold back the carrier’s plans. It’s not cargo, but it is an interesting read for a Friday afternoon.
