Amazon is facing heightened competition in its bid to dominate the third-party e-commerce marketplace, with FedEx announcing the launch of its own Fulfillment platform. Aimed at SMEs, the service allows participating businesses to store their products at the company’s warehouses in the US and Canada. When these items are ordered by a customer, FedEx will use its logistics services to ship the goods. And, as reported by CNN, the company is even offering customised boxes, as opposed to ones emblazoned with FedEx’s own logo.
