As industries grapple with the challenges and opportunities posed by the 3D printing revolution, it remains to be seen exactly how logistics providers will respond. DHL and UPS are two companies that have begun to offer 3D printing services, but “time will tell whether manufacturers turn to their logistics service providers to store and maintain their blueprints, or whether this will become a new niche for IT specialists”.
