Leading American apparel brand Levi Strauss & Co has appointed a new chief supply chain officer to its board after David Love was made president of the company’s Asia, Middle East and Africa region.
Mr Love will be succeeded by Liz O’Neill, currently senior vice president of product development and sourcing – and the promotion also sees her become part of Levis Strauss’ global leadership team.
After 13 years with Gap, Ms O’Neill joined the company in 2013 to lead its supply chain sourcing and strategy, and has been responsible for the “global development, sourcing and delivery” of its products to more than 100 countries. As part of her new role she will also be responsible for Levi Strauss’s terms of engagement and environment, health and safety.
Meanwhile, Mr Love, who has worked for the company for more than 30 years in product development, sourcing and supply chain roles, has been acclaimed for regularly delivering “outsize results”.
Levi Strauss chief executive Chip Bergh said: “David has made significant contributions to the success of our business. Liz has been a valuable thought partner and leader in driving substantial cost savings and increasing the quality of our strategic partnerships.”
