Lufthansa has signed a cooperation agreement with Air China to expand code-sharing on China-Europe, but the deal will not be extended to cargo – yet.
“Currently, there are no specific plans to start negotiations with other potential partners, but basically, we are not excluding this for the future,” a spokesman for Lufthansa Cargo told The Loadstar.
“We are focusing on cooperating with ANA Cargo and Cathay Pacific Cargo as well as our announced partnership with United Cargo at the moment.”
The agreement is designed to help the Star Alliance members compete better with SkyTeam, and follows two years of negotiations.
