One-third of Lufthansa Cargo’s “leadership positions” will go as the carrier restructures in a bid to cut costs. First reported by CargoForwarder, the airline is changing its organisational structure from January 1, reducing the number of management levels and speeding up decision-making. Eight regional management units will report directly to the board member for product and sales, with local managers slotting in under the regional units. But there’ll be no move for chief Peter Gerber, who has confirmed his position for a further five years. ACN has the latest.
