Japan’s MOL has returned to profit in its fiscal year ending 31 March 2014 earning net income of $589,000, compared with a $171,500 deficit the previous year.

However, the improvement did not come from MOL’s container business, rather from its other sectors, and in its review to accompany the accounts, it repeats an oft-heard sorry story of supply and demand imbalance.
