One of the longest-running rights wrangles in modern aviation history appears to have come to an end. German and Russian authorities have brokered a new deal to give German carriers the right to 21 flights over Russian airspace per week, in exchange for Russian carriers being able to fly direct from Germany to the US three times per week. A victory for cargo over politics!
