Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) is advising that some ports remain affected following the 7.5 magnitude earthquake in central New Zealand.

PictonAll berths re-opened at Picton over the course of the day.  Some port workers could not reach the port due to landslides closing roads.  Rail services are impacted due to landslides south of Picton and rail buckling. Cargo deliveries outside of the immediate port region will require careful planning with authorities and agents.

WellingtonThe city and port encountered aftershocks up to a 5.3 magnitude, but no significant new damage is reported.  Port and Wharf Gates remain on lockdown until a provisional date of 22 November 2016.  Only the oil terminal situated outside of the port area re-opened on 15 November.

All other New Zealand ports are fully operational.  ISS New Zealand will continue to monitor developments and keep its clients updated.
