Qatar Airways Cargo has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Peter Penseel as SVP cargo sales and network planning, a new position. Mr Penseel joins from DHL Global Forwarding, where he was SVP network carrier management. He previously held several positions at UTi, and worked at MASKargo. He will be based in Doha.
Qatar is thought to be looking for a new head of charters, following Steve Manser’s resignation. Formerly at Saudia, Mr Manser, the king of charters, has decided to move back to the UK for family reasons. He leaves the airline in May, and told colleagues he was “sad to be leaving … at such an exciting time”. He will be “resurrecting his aviation consultancy business”.
