It’s finally all over for Polet, the plucky, AN-124 operator which has been besieged by problems, both financial and legal, in the past two years. It was announced yesterday in the Russian press that its aircraft operating certificate has been revoked. Owner Anatoly Karpov had been seeking additional investors and was willing to sell a 49% share, but none was found. The carrier can reinstate the AOC if it can resolve its problems within three months.
