A peculiar story about more technology problems for DHL Global Forwarding. According to the New Zealand Herald, the NZ arm of the company is cutting 30 jobs in a restructure “to right-size the company for long-term sustainability and success”. The forwarder said the company had initially increased its headcount due to a new IT system it had implemented (bucking the general trend that technology cuts job numbers). But the system has since been rolled back, meaning it no longer needed the additional staff.
