UK resorting to 'quick fix' infrastructure solutions - while Manston awaits fate

The various UK airport rows rumble on and on. Supporters of Manston Airport are still hoping that it could see a revival, with the local council considering a compulsory purchase order, and US investment company RiverOak still believes in its future as a cargo hub. Meanwhile, celebrated architect Lord Norman Foster, whose firm’s idea for a new hub airport in the Thames was last week removed from the shortlist, said what he called the short-term decision to disregard his plan had been met with “absolute incredulity” around the world.
