Waste product exporters out of Europe are likely to be the most affected by the container lines’ decision to halt bookings on the eastbound trade to Asia. Exporters and their forwarders are also experiencing a “chronic” shortage of containers, for which lines blame weak demand from Asia to Europe. But there are also predictions of a “mini-boom” once capacity is restored, in May.
