More rumblings in South Korea about possible malpractices at Hanjin Group, whose container shipping division is facing the battle of its life as it seeks to avoid bankruptcy – and which also includes Korean Air, one of the world’s largest air cargo carriers. Today comes news that the country’s antitrust authorities are investigating to see “whether children of the group’s chairman took undue profits from unfair business practices”. South Korea’s Fair Trade Commission will meet in September to decide if it should press ahead with a prosecution.
