failing grayling
Chatham House

The misery continues to pile up on the desk of UK transport secretary Chris Grayling after the weekend’s news that the government has cancelled its proposed contract with Seaborne Freight, reported here by the HuffPost. After one of The Loadstar’s stories on Seaborne Freight-gate last week, one reader wrote in with the following gem: Did you know that in the Civil Service, a Grayling is a unit of incompetency? For instance, “The botched NHS IT roll-out fiasco was 3.4 Graylings…” How much worse can it get? Honestly, who knows?
