Kerry Logistics has promoted Kenny Rutgersson to managing director of Kerry Logistics (Sweden).
Mr Rutgersson will drive the growth strategy and business development in international freight forwarding, warehousing and distribution in Sweden. A strong focus will be on strengthening the contract logistics business.
Mr Rutgersson has more than 20 years’ logistics experience and joined Kerry in Sweden as head of 3PL three years ago. Apart from his operational expertise, he also focuses on customer experience and lean management solutions. In the past five months, Kerry Logistics (Sweden) has restructured its administrative processes, continuously enhancing effectiveness, quality and standardisation.
“In Sweden, Kerry Logistics is backed by a very professional and customer-centred team that I’ve already had the pleasure of being a part of,” said Mr Rutgersson.
“In my previous role, I have noticed an ever-increasing demand in the field of contract logistics by our customers. This is why I want to strengthen our contract logistics capabilities through leveraging the group’s expertise and proven track record in various verticals and enhance our overall service offerings to existing and new customers.”
Located in the country’s textile capital, Borås, Kerry’s key vertical is fashion & lifestyle, but it also focuses on electronics & technology, FMCG, and industrial and material science.
The 50+-strong team offers international freight forwarding services, supply chain solutions and intra-European road freight services. It manages more than 19,000 sq m of warehousing space and provides a full range of value-added services including inventory management, e-commerce fulfilment and return services as well as last-mile customisation.
