AirBridgeCargo is clearly going places. As it announced a 31% increase in tonnage in May, and for the first five months of the year, it is also in talks with Boeing for at least 10 more 747-8Fs. The airline wants to convert last year’s commitment into firm orders, and may announce the deal at next month’s Farnborough Air Show, which the airline is exhibiting at – and taking its latest Cargologicair aircraft to. According to this Bloomberg article, the deal could help Boeing out of a potential production problem for the 747s.
