It is strange to read that in 2004 Harvard Business review claimed Zara’s operating model was “questionable, if not downright crazy” – but how wrong that assessment proved to be. Instead, Zara is arguably the world’s most successful retailer, and it and other European fast fashion chains are now changing the face of retail in the US.
