London Container Terminal, at the Forth Ports-owned port of Tilbury, has not had much to laugh about recently, losing long-time customer SAECS and Hamburg Sud’s impressive new Cap ships to the “new kid on the block”, London gateway, down the river. However, LCT has all the facilities that a shortsea or midsea container service could ask for, including an abundance of reefer points and, not least, a good name with UK importers, so it is only a question of time before replacement business comes their way…. as we were saying.
