Lufthansa Cargo is bracing for a loss this year, in the face of “massive overcapacities” in the market, according to the group’s CFO. It’ll be the logistics unit’s first annual loss in six years. And things are not much better on the passenger side, as terrorism puts off tourists, Bloomberg reports.
Amusingly, Lufthansa has opened up a new sales route – it has put seats on Airbnb, the first airline to do so. Sadly, according to Airbnb’s check boxes, it cannot offer parking on premises, a fireplace or an elevator – and parties are right out. But it does offer guests TV, heating and wireless internet.
